When I was in the fourth grade I started taking my parents Kodak Instamatic camera to school to take pictures of my friends.  My freshman year of high school my parents bought me my first 35mm camera.  I still have that camera!  The next year in high school I decided to take my first photography class that was offered.  After developing my black and white negatives I was scheduled to print some of my images in the darkroom.  I can still remember the first time that my image appeared on the paper in the developer!  That’s when I decided that this is what I wanted to do for a living!   I photographed anything and everything from that moment on.  The summer between my junior and senior year of high school I photographed my first wedding.  I started photographing weddings as my part time job.  I was 17 years old.  My parents built a darkroom at our home.  I saved my babysitting money so that I could furnish it with the enlarger, trays and chemistry.  I still have all of my negatives from that time in my life.

Yes, I have lots of camera’s and lenses but I am a photographer that “shoots” from the heart.  I want to capture feelings and emotions when I photograph someone or even something!  I absolutely love each and every time that I have the opportunity to photograph anyone or anything!  Every photo that I take is exciting and fun for me!

I am a member of Professional Photographers of America and Indianapolis Professional Photographers Guild and am passionate about always moving forward and always learning!  I love the continual education and expertise that these organizations bring to our industry and enjoy the friendships of many other professionals that these organizations have brought to my life!  Winona School of Photography is another way that I continue my education.  I am also a member and photographer for the Greater Greenwood Chamber of Commerce.
